Responsibility for our environment
Resource-saving action is based on holistic and sustainable thinking. Based on these convictions, we have established a comprehensive environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, and have integrated it into our management system DIN EN ISO 9001 / IATF 16949. Our environmental management officer monitors the implementation of our environmental policy and compliance with applicable environmental law throughout the company. Our environmental management system is continuously developing.
DIN EN ISO 14001
The international environmental management standard ISO 14001 defines globally recognized requirements for an environmental management system, for example on environmental goals, life cycle assessments, environmental indicators, or environmental performance assessment. The standard places a focus on a continuous improvement process as a way of achieving defined goals with regard to the environmental performance of a company.
The application of this standard helps us as a company to take responsibility for the world of tomorrow — through sustainable management and a prudent use of resources. Our corporate environmental system strengthens values, improves employee motivation, and leads to a better brand image among customers and partners. In addition, the environmental management system helps us to save costs — for example lowering the consumption of resources.
Etching technology and environmental protection are not contradictory
It is particularly important to us to keep the impact of our actions on the environment as low as possible.
Concrete examples include:
- By using process water more than once, we can reduce our water consumption by 30%.
- We use chemical-saving processes:
we regenerate our etching liquid and thus multiply its service life; we use a biological process to treat our wastewater saving large amounts of acids and alkalis. - We clean our wastewater with membrane filtration so that the heavy metal content is a fraction of the legal limit values.
- We are gradually replacing electrical drives and lighting with energy-saving designs.
REACH / RoHS / Conflict Minerals:
REACH: Our products do not contain any substances that require authorization under REACH, and they are not subject to SCIP reporting, as they do not contain any so-called SVHC substances with a content of more than 0.1%.
RoHS: Our products meet the requirements of this EU directive without exception.
Conflict raw materials: With relevant suppliers, we ensure that raw materials supplied to us comply with the requirements of the Dodd-Frank Act Section 1502. The materials we use are “DRC Conflict free”
