With our photo chemical machining process (PCM), we can create many different types of structures. Our specially developed mask technology makes it possible to accurately control the etching process in three dimensions. A large variety of complex breakthrough geometries can thereby be produced. Therefore Micrometal can manufacture complex geometries for lancets, scalpels and blades or any type of precision component in virtually unlimited volumes.

Variety of etchable hole geometries

When etching structures onto both sides of a metal strip, the position of the structures can be aligned with extreme precision at Micrometal. Single-sided photo chemical machining (to create a so-called half etch) and openings can be combined as needed. For instance, we are able to create capillary effects for fluids by etching extremely fine channels into the metal surface.
